Meet The Team
Lorrine Patterson
Founder & CEO
Lorrine Patterson was born in Guam but never got to experience that version of island life. Her family moved to Oahu, Hawaii when she was only a few months old and they stayed there until Lorrine turned 12. After watching her parents divorce, she moved to California with her mother. These experiences during her formative years helped create a lasting sense of wonder and curiosity for the world around her.
Lorrine earned her BS in Business Management and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. She has worked in the hotel industry, property management, and facilities management and specializes in customer service. Passionate about all she does, Lorrine stewed over the idea of writing a book for the better part of a decade. It wasn’t until the realities of pandemic life in 2020 took hold that she decided it was finally time to put pen to paper. Through the suffering and troubling times Lorrine finally discovered her true passion and purpose in life, bringing some goodness to a world in need. Her first book, Freeing Your Heart For Love is a memoir where Lorrine shares some of her greatest challenges in life with hopes to encourage and inspire you.
When she wrote her book and released it, she asked herself this question, “What is beyond the book?” Lorrine knew that she wanted to reach more people all over the world with her powerful story of overcoming, but also wanted to take it further and be a Philanthropist. This is when she decided to start a nonprofit called Show Up & Love.

Lorrine is a God fearing woman who believes that God has a plan for all of us and, even if we don't know the plan yet, we are all guided to the right place at the right time if you trust and believe in God's timing and our savior Jesus Christ.

Lorrine enjoys spending quality time with her family. She is blessed to have met the love of her life in 2017. She loves peaceful devotional time with God and serving the Lord by sowing his seeds of love and light into the world.
Max Jones
Board Treasurer
Max Jones is a dedicated young professional serving on the Board of Directors as Board Treasurer. With a strong faith in the Lord and a passion for serving others, he is committed to giving back to the community and making a positive impact. He brings fresh perspective, energy, and leadership, with a heart for helping others and creating opportunities for meaningful change.
Nedra Russell
Board Secretary
Nedra Russell was born in Hobbs, New Mexico, The Land of Enchantment. Her parents divorced when she was 8 years old and her mother moved the family to Phoenix, Arizona and later, Las Vegas, Nevada.

She met and married her best friend, husband of 38 years, in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she once worked as a Hotel Room Reservation Supervisor before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Nedra is a joyful mother of a brilliant 30-year-old artist out of Indiana.
​
Always a fan of reading and writing, she felt called to write when her daughter was 9 years of age. In 2012-2014, Nedra became a published author when she was selected to share her body of work.
​
Two years prior—even with all the rejection notes, Nedra kept pushing until she was chosen to share 2 pieces within 2 concurrent years, and received The People’s Choice Awards. Harpstring’s Special Edition Magazine is an affiliate of The American Christian Fiction Writers, an International Group of which she’s belonged since 2011.
​
The year 2019 saw Nedra attending Voice Coaches where 1 year later she became a Voice Actor. In 2021, during Covid, she attended Kingdom Theological Seminary and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Theology while simultaneously receiving a B.S. in Christian Counseling.

Shortly thereafter, in May 2023, Nedra published a poetry book called: Human As I Am: Talking paper. Consequently, it was on this writing app, she met Lorrine Patterson.
Nedra’s passion lies in her love for Jesus. Surprisingly, at a young age, she was labeled ‘the love child in the family. Needless to say, she is all about the love of GOD and the people he created.
